Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ListSEO ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

ListSEO is an AI-powered SEO optimization platform for Shopify merchants. The Service provides automated product title, description, meta tag, alt text, and tag optimization using artificial intelligence. We also offer a free SEO audit tool and educational blog content.

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account and connect your Shopify store. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Shopify Store Access

By connecting your Shopify store, you authorize ListSEO to access and modify your product data through the Shopify Admin API. This includes reading and writing product titles, descriptions, meta fields, images, and tags. You can revoke this access at any time through your Shopify admin panel.

5. AI-Generated Content

The Service uses AI (Claude by Anthropic) to generate optimized content for your products. While we strive for accuracy and quality:

  • AI-generated content may not always be perfect. We recommend reviewing all suggestions before applying them to your store.
  • The "Preview Before Apply" feature allows you to review and approve all changes before they take effect.
  • The "One-Click Rollback" feature allows you to revert any changes instantly.
  • You are ultimately responsible for the content published on your store.

6. Subscription and Billing

ListSEO offers free and paid subscription tiers. For paid plans:

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly at the rates displayed on our pricing page.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers.
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

7. Usage Limits

Each subscription tier includes specific usage limits (e.g., number of rewrites per month, bulk operation limits). Exceeding these limits may require upgrading to a higher tier. We reserve the right to throttle or suspend service for excessive automated usage that impacts platform performance.

8. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of Shopify's terms of service
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the AI models or algorithms used by the Service
  • Use the Service to generate misleading, fraudulent, or deceptive product content
  • Share your account credentials or allow unauthorized access to your account
  • Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Service beyond its intended use

9. Intellectual Property

AI-generated content created through the Service for your products becomes your property upon generation. The Service itself, including its design, algorithms, scoring methodology, and branding, remains the intellectual property of ListSEO.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ListSEO shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will improve your search engine rankings, increase traffic, or generate sales. SEO results depend on many factors outside our control.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
